We stayed in the hotel in August 2011, for one night when we were travelling from Italy to Holland. Rooms were good, breakfast very nice. We had a nice dinner at the bowling club nearby the hotel.

For the price we paid, our stay at Hotel Excelsior was definitely worth it. The room was clean and spacious, and even though it had a slightly outdated feel, it had all the necessary facilities. The hotel's location was convenient, especially if you have a car, and the staff treated us well throughout our stay.
Hotel breakfast could have been better with a wider variety of options.

Within walking distance of town centre for restaraunts. Ample parking facilities even though underground carried a 7 Euro charge.
The lack of restaraunt service for evening meal.
-

Parking for 7 EUR per night without any info regarding this due to the fact that the parcing for free was fully occupied. Unfriendly service and too loud at night (noise from the street / very bad window isolation).

The location, near the main train station and right next to the S-Bahn station, is convenient for exploring the area. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service, making you feel welcome throughout your stay. The rooms are well equipped with modern furniture, including a comfortable single double bed, a fridge, and even a balcony overlooking the beautiful Mannheim skyline. Additionally, the included breakfast is a wonderful start to the day, adding to the overall value offered by this hotel.
All was perfectly fine at this hotel.

Breakfast was very good as was the service. My room was also very nice with a great view.
For me the room was a bit expensive, but that may be because I had to select a more expensive room.

Cocktail bar at 17th floor, no food, though. Great view at night.
There is no restaurant.

The room was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for directions to the nearest train station. The hotel also had a decent breakfast spread to choose from in the morning.
The elevator was slow, and there was no air conditioning in the room, making it quite stuffy and hot. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The room was tidy and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient.
The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was quite worn, so the springs of the bed poked through the padding. If they beds were upgraded, it would be perfect for business travel.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Ludwigshafen and had a really nice experience. the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. They were always willing to help and made me feel welcome. Secondly, the rooms were clean and had all the basic amenities I expected. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. Finally, the breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of options to choose from. It was definitely worth the price.
There was one small issue with the hotel, but overall everything was fine.
